About Me

I'm Emily Rose Chadwick. I created the blog Mama Wilder in 2016, after the birth of my eldest daughter when I was a single mom. In the last 10 years I've established a community of women with the common goal of sovereign motherhood.
From the moment I delivered my baby girl at 22 years old, I knew I wanted motherhood to be on my terms. I've always been passionate about holistic health, home birth, and breastfeeding. After the birth of my two daughters, I went back to school to finalize my undergraduate degree in women's studies, inspired and motivated by the unsavory history of women's healthcare in the United States. My middle and third babies were born at home into my hands, and I've since become a vocal proponent of unhindered birth as a source of empowerment and healing for women. I credit my positive birth experiences with propelling me through some of the worst traumas a person can live through because birth is the closest I have ever felt to feeling the presence of God.
In 2023, I founded The Mama Wilder Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that allocates cash grants to women facing domestic violence, financial hardship, and single motherhood.
We have a board of directors made up of women around the United States and we LOVE what we do. 100% of the monetization tools on my social media pages fund this nonprofit organization. That means every reel, click, and view generates dollars that go directly to women in need. We don't pay out to creditors; we give the money directly to women. This is aligned with our values of financial literacy, autonomy, and treating women with the dignity they so often fail to receive when navigating the court system.
I've been invited to host educational seminars on subjects such as domestic violence in pregnancy and postpartum, and holding boundaries and prioritizing safety while dating as a single mother. I've been featured in the NY Post, Washington Examiner, and other news outlets and blogs, and I've been a guest on numerous podcasts in the areas of women's health, financial readiness, family court reform, and empowered childbirth. Type "Mama Wilder" in the search bar of your favorite streaming service for more information.
I live Arkansas with my wonderful husband where we run a general store in his hometown. We have 4 kids, 4 dogs, a handful of birds, and we like to stay busy being involved in local government and advocacy work.
I am SO glad you're here!
XOXO Emily
